Performers

The US Army Field Band is an organisation of about 150 military musicians. It encompasses, among other things, a large marching band as well as specialists in classical music and jazz from various ensembles.

His Majesty The King’s Guard (HMKG) has represented the Norwegian armed forces abroad on several occasions. The line-up with its drill group is the most impressive unit in the Norwegian military.

The Royal Band of the Belgian Guides founded in 1831 serves King Philippe of Belgium. It is among the top-ranking symphonic bands in Europe. One nice detail is the fanfare group of up to 12 trumpeters included in the band.

Livgardets Dragonmusikkår is one of the three full-time orchestras of the Swedish national guard. The history of the band goes back to the 16th century, and it is one of the few cavalry bands in the world that still plays music on horseback.

Musique de l’Infanterie is one of the six professional bands of the French infantry. Musique de l’Infanterie consists exclusively of brass and percussion instruments.

The Guards Band is the official band of the President of Finland and the Finnish Defence Forces. Its history goes back to the era of Finnish autonomy in the 19th century.

The Lapland Military Band located in Rovaniemi is the only professional brass band in northern Finland. The band consists of 29 musicians. This is the northernmost military band in the EU.

The Conscript Band of the Finnish Defence Forces, established in Hamina, with its refle team represents
the high level of expertise of the Finnish compulsory military service.
